Câmara de Lobos

We start the tour in “Câmara de Lobos”, it is a fishing village, which is located on the west side of Funchal. The boats are housed in the small bay, creating a unique landscape on the island. The name was given by João Gonçalves Zarco, resulting from the abundance of monk seals that were in the bay. Locally, this place is well known for the traditional Poncha, a drink made with citrus, honey and rum from the region.

Cabo Girão

The tour continues to the second highest cliff in the world and the highest in Europe (580m) – (1775ft). One of the most tourist spots on the island. Here you will have a privileged view of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal. Due to natural erosion from the sea, caves and terrain were formed along the coast.

Ribeira brava

It is an important town in the Region, which connects the North and the rest of the west of the island. The word Ribeira (means
river) and the word Brava (means wild). The mother church is the main attraction of the village. Built in the 16th century, it has had some changes over time. You can also see the São Bento fort and at the same time have a coffee.

Serra de água

Serra de Água is a parish in the Municipality of Ribeira Brava, which has an area of ​​approximately 24.16km2. It is part of one of the best valleys on the island and is a region well known for its poncha, a typical drink of the region.


Encumeada is the connection between Ribeira Brava (south) and São Vicente (north). Here was the first water station on the island of Madeira. It has unique landscapes at the top of the mountain, both to the north and to the south.

São Vicente

São Vicente is a small, very quiet and pleasant village where you can have a good view of the north coast.

Ponta Delgada

Ponta Delgada is a parish belonging to the Municipality of São Vicente in Madeira Island. It is a very peaceful and picturesque place.


Boaventura is a parish in the Municipality of São Vicente with about 26.20km². It is a very quiet parish with little population. It is well known for its high density of forest and its green color.

São Jorge

São Jorge is a parish in the Municipality of Santana, with an area of ​​approximately 18.30 km². Its foundation date was in 1515 by D. Manuel I, it is one of the oldest parishes in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.


Santana is a municipality on the north coast of the Portuguese island of Madeira. It is known for the thypical houses of Santana, traditional stone houses with steep triangle-shaped thatched roofs. It is also possible to see examples of these houses in the Madeira Theme Park (history, culture and traditions).


Faial is a parish in the municipality of Santana, located on the charming North Coast of the wonderful island of Madeira, at an altitude of about 219 meters.

Ribeiro Frio

Ribeiro Frio is an exquisite place, surrounded by fragrant forests, offering a pleasant atmosphere. Its slopes are populated by plant species.
